Siding or Painting

Got a question for everyone-I've got a friend who is in a bit of a dilemma. She doesn't know whether to repaint her house or put on vinyl siding. She is leaning towards siding because of the maintenance factor. Also, she plans on getting the landscaping redone around her house and would like to know if it would be better to do the landscaping before or after the siding/painting is done.Any info is appreciated- thanks all.

Siding or Painting

Anymore more people are wanting to go to vinyl siding and wrapping everything for the ease of maint. However some companies are coming out with paint that they consider lifetime. Some people just like to paint though.

the landscaping should be done after vinyl or painting. If she is thinking about gettting the house professionally painted that isn't cheap and depending on the size of the house vinyl might just be a couple thousand more. Meaning you could drop 5,000 painting a regular house vinyl probably 9,000. I like the maintance free i just rinsed my vinyl siding down today.

Depending on the current style of siding and condition, vinyl can be a downgrade and detraction for the home. You may want to get a few opinions from some qualified craftsman.
