Should I worry about mold

We had a plastic shower and tub installed in our shower because we thought it would be cleaner than tile. it went in over the old tile, now our plumbing is stopped up under it and we have to take it out. I think its been leaking ( the black hose)for a long time, and it was a sunken tub and shower before so i am not sure what they put under it to raise it and the drain ended up in the middle of the tub instead of the end,so she said he put in a black hose to go to the drain, so he proped up the tub with wood I think. my daughter was here when it was done
and she said she thinks he used wood. we have to knock out a wall to remove it . should I have the same people do it or hire someone else. i don't think they did a very good job. we have been pouring bleach down it for a long time, because we had little black flys in the bathroom. could not tell where they were coming from. thanks, Miller

Sounds like a hack job. Don't even think of hiring the same contractor.

You might not need to tear out a wall to remove it - If you don't want the shower then destroy the shower instead of the wall. Was there other issues with the tile than ease of cleaning? If he didn't put any holes in it, you might have a serviceable shower under there.
