Should I tape this exhaust duct to the attic vent?
This duct is from my bathroom's Vent Fan, it's blowing air into my attic when I turn my bathroom's fan on.
Should I just use some duct tape and tape it to that particular hole in my attic's roof? Not sure if that hole is where the exhaust duct is suppose to go.
Thanks in advance!
They have vents designed for exhaust ducts.
You really shouldn't use a "roof" vent ("Pod").
Or, vent it through your soffit vents.
Most standard, duct tape is not suitable.
Wait for additional responses.
Don't vent it directly into the attic!
Install a separate vent to the exterior for the bath exhaust. And as Ross said, nix the duct tape. Use a metal tape instead.
I can't tell from the inside but that could be just detached. If that is an attic vent then no you should not connect to it. If that is the proper roof cap for a fan vent then you need to repair the connection.
