Sheetrock - walls before ceiling

The house I bought has sheetrocked walls and 1'X1' interlocking tiles for the ceiling. I am looking at replacing the ceiling with sheetrock and wonder if there are any issues or concerns with having the walls rocked and then the ceiling. I have always read to do the ceiling first but would hate to rip down the sheetrock on the walls just to have it that way.

Sheetrock - walls before ceiling

Read about this the other day. ceiling first helps prevent cracks and when the wall is done it helps hold up the ceiling, do a good job on the ceiling and you shouldn't have problems. make sure you do a good job mudding between the ceiling and the wall or you will get cracking.

i'm sure some one more knowledgeable will post too.

It shouldn't be a problem. Just fasten the edges well.
