Shears for backerboard
I do a lot of tiling these days and I seriously need to invest in power shears...all set with scoring and breaking cement board and hardibacker
Anyone have a unit they like? I was looking at this one. http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/S...640+1160298136

Shears for backerboard
Don't really know, and have never used them, but I believe I've seen just the shear attachment for your drill. You might want to look into that.

Shears for backerboard
I have used the Porter CAble shears for years. They work very well, easy to cut straight, and none of the horrible dust like diamond blades.
to my knowledge, none of them will cut cement board(durock) but they work great on the Hardiboard type products.Unfortunately I still use a diamong blade on an small angle grinder for Durock. In pite of the dust and having to carry boards outside for cuts, I still prefer that to trying to score it and snap off. |
