Sealing interior brickwork

Hi I'm in the process of clearing out and boarding over the attic in my 100 year old house. The side walls are solid brickwork. I want to seal the bricks with a clear sealant to reduce the mortar dust. What would people recommend as a suitable sealant/varnish. Thanks
