Sea wall in sandy soil---Michigan

I live on a lake in the lower peninsula of Michigan. I'm interested in learning as much as I can about building a seawall. My shoreline is 210 ft.

The soil is sand. I would think that a gas powered auger would be sufficient to dig holes using 6x6 wolmanized for verticals and 2x8/10 for the wall itself. Does anyone have any input on this subject?

How big is this lake? What are the storms like? On Lake Erie where I am driven steel pile or concrete are about all the stands up to the storms.

Do you have the blessing of the Michigan DEQ for this project?,it will depend on why you want to construct a sea wall in the first place, and they are usually frowned upon, and a permit is required.
