Replacing 100 yr old windows

Our house was built in 1906. We are replacing our windows with Pella windows to cut our heating/air bill. Any suggestions on what to do with the old windows? Glass and wooden frames are intact. I have eleven windows.

Do a web search and phone book search for any salvage companies around your area.
These salvage retailers love those old windows that are in good shape for resale value.
There are many home owners and contractors who are remodeling older homes and want to keep the 'original look'. They rely on these salvage retailers... so they can purchase older doors, windows, wood trim, brick, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, etc....to complete their projects.

Another option is to take a pic. and post on Craig's List..

It will cut down on the drafts like you can't imagine

...I'm not sure of your region in that era, but if they have the lead (or other metal) counter-weights don't just cut them and let them drop
Try and salvage them with the windows

I just had the upstairs windows replaced. It's unreal how quiet it is now. And what a breeze to open them! And I can actually clean them now! I wish we'd done it sooner. I can't wait to see my heat bill go down (or, eh, I mean, not get any higher).
