Removing wooden line posts from ground

Problem: Wife and I have purchased property that has an old-style fence along the property line. We want to remove it. It is 48’ high chain link spread over a wooden frame of horizontal 2”x4”s and vertical 4”x4”s. The vertical pieces are not set in concrete (I hope).
Question: Is there a practical way of removing these 4”x4”s? I am a senior and cannot just jerk them out of the ground the way I have seen my son do.

Assuming you don't own a tractor?

I have done this by using a level and fulcrum. Use mechanical advantage! I had good luck drilling holes in the posts and hooking a chain to them and using the lever to hook the chain when pulling upward. It was still back-breaking work though!

I have used a high lift jack to pull posts. Wrap a chain around them, and hook the jack to it and just jack them out.

Unless you need to reuse the posts, dig a couple of inches below the surface and saw them off.
