Removing caulking from tub

I am in the middle of a bathroom renovation, and need to remove the caulking from the tub where the surround was. I thought about a razor blade, but am worried about scratching the tub.

This is my first experience with something like this... any help would be appriciated.

Removing caulking from tub

I guess it would depend on the tubs material, what type of caulk and to what extent the caulking covers the tub.

It is a fiberglass tub, the caulking is some type of latex (although I am not sure exactly waht type) and it is the remainder from removing the surround.
