Recessed lighting project
I have purchased the necessary items to put in 5 6" Halo cans in my living room ceiling. Also having a ceiling fan moved from a once breakfast nook to the center of the ceiling.A dimmer switch will be installsd as well. The ceilings are a standard 9' as well.... I'm having a relative put them in, he is charging me $325 for labor. .. I want to know if that is s good price...seems a little high for me.

Assuming he's going to fish wires through the ceiling and walls instead of cutting them open, it's a very good price!

I have purchased Halo 6" lighting, and 310 watt baffle and trim. What type of LED lite bulbs should be utilized with a dimmer?

He's putting 6 cans in, removing and reinstalling a ceiling fan in a different location and a switch for it and you want to know if $325 is a good price for that work? A pro would cost you at a minimum a grand!
I'd say he doesn't know what he's doing if that's the price he quoted you.
Take the 6" back and get 5".
you'll be glad you did.

Why take the 6" Halo cans back to purchase 5" cans?

6" cans are so 80's by the way, go with 5" cans and you can still install the same wattage lamp, but eliminate the meteor look alike in the ceiling.
