Radiator question - not sure which forum to post

I installed a cast iron radiator in a second floor bedroom last year. When I purchased the house we did not realize that the room was missing the radiator. I found one on CL and installed it without a problem. Recently the radiator started to make gurggling noises as well as banging. I have a steam system so I know that water will collect in the radiators. But what I am hearing sounds like a lot of water inside of the unit.

Im not sure what I should do. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Steam radiators need to be pitched so the water runs back down the supply pipe. Raise the side opposite the supply pipe so the radiator has a slight pitch. Put a level on it so you know.

Wow. Never thought of that. I'll do that in a bit and hopefully that will take care of the issue.

Thanks.
