Question about spray painting

I have just spray painted the first coat of black paint on my rims and realized I do not like the type of black. Would it be okay to continue spray painting a second coat with a DIFFERENT (but still black gloss) brand of spray paint over top of my current 1st coat?

Question about spray painting

It probably will not hurt, but be sure to read what the surface requirements are for the new paint. You will probably need to remove the shine so the new paint can adhere.

Question about spray painting

Yes, just rough up the first coat with a light sanding, or use scotchbrite pad.
