Question About French Door Treatment?

Hi folks,

I have double true divided french doors in my dining room leading out to our patio. What should be a good window treatment for the doors that would allow light in, and maintain privacy as well. Also where would you place the window treatment - from where the windows start, or from the top of the doors?

Install sheers. It's a light fabric that allows light through and diffuses movement.
I would mount them about 2" above and below the glass.

shears are a nice look, but, they collect alot of dust, fade, and when the lights are on in the inside of the room, little privacy is achieved. 3M has several window tints that are semi reflective, cut UV rays up to 90%, and provide effective privacy. Unless you use a darker range tint, you don't even notice it's there. I use used it on a 40' glass wall facing southwest, and a public beach area. It's not only saved my carpet and furniture upholstery, I can stand there naked after a shower, and no one sees me.
