quarter round

Friend put in laminate flooring with extra he acquired but used different colors for room and closet, had just enough to do them both with no extra pieces. Butchered edges in doorway going to closet now I have to fix it with quarter round. Any ideas? Pics would be most appreciated.

Try to find some matching caulk.

You're not going to fix it with quarter round. You're just going to make it look real strange.

He should have undercut the door jamb and slid laminate under it but I guess you already know that. I can't think of anything that's going to make that look ok other than doing it right. Rusty's caulk idea might work or you could get some plastic wood, and fill it up and sand it. But don't try and run quarter round over it....

The more I look at the picture, the more I think I'd go the caulk route. It's not going to look very good, but nothing about that job looks very good. At least some "tan" caulk would kind of finish it.

Thanks. That's what I thought too. I may just cover it up with a wood threshold. No matter what it's going to look goofy though. Luckily its going to a closet
