purge fan, central air


My purge fan will not shut off. 7 yr old american standard unit. Suggestions?

purge fan, central air


Get yourself a furnace guy. The purge fan when working properly is to clear the air in the fire box prior to, during, and after combustion. If it runs all the time just by applying power then you have a problem with the furnace control board.
