pressure washer problems

I have a hardly used Honda 2500 psi washer. Just restored the carburetor as it was crudded up with old gas a month ago. Now, the thing was running and just died. Im thinking maybe some dirt in the gas clogged carb parts??

Then I realized there is no gas filter inthis model!! Gees, is this normal guys?? No gas filter? (not saying for sure that this is my problem, though, just a hunch)

Depending of IF you have a hose leading from the tank to the carb, then YES, and aftermarket filter can be added. Inline fuel filters are available at most auto parts stores, some big box (K-Mart, Wal-Mart, others) stores also. It does sound as if a small piece of trash has gotten into the carb and stopped up some orifice. If you had removed the carb once, you will need to do it again. Clean all small orifices with a carb cleaner spray bomb and wish for luck. First--I would inspect the inside of the tank for foreign material(s). Even a small amount of rust is your enemy. My way: After draining the remaining gas into an appropriate container, wash the tank out with about a cup of mineral spirits sloshing this around aggressively. I like to use a product containing "Ortho-Phosphate", available at auto paint supply stores cheaply, to further clean out rust and coat the inside of the tank. ALL lines and areas fuel flows must be clean and cleaner. David

Thanks, David. Looks like I will yank the carb again and clean. Also dump the tank. Good chore for a sunday.....
