I just installed a brand new pre-hung fiberglass Jeld-Wen exterior door. To the best of our knowledge. everything is plumb, level and square as the door sits now. As with a similar post one small problem, the top of the door (handle side) sticks out. Bottom is ok. Hinge side, jam has same reveal along jack stud. Door opens and closes nicely. top of door does not seal . Is door warped? Any ideas on how to correct this? Other than getting another door to try.
Like Atlantic suggested, most likely the wall opening is "twisted". Work both opposite corners, tweaking the jamb in on one corner and out on the other until the door closes evenly. By splitting the difference like this, you should end up with smaller gaps in the trim/jamb connnection that are easily caulkable.
As previously stated, the door is racked, which means it's not plumb. Use a plumb bob to verify. Levels can deceive.
