Power Tool Battery Chargers.
I have kind of an odd-ball question probably more geared towards a DIY tinkerer but hopefully someone might be able to help.
I have a power tool battery and charger (it's a Ridgid brand, 18v) and the batteries have 4 terminals (a positive, negative, t1 and t2). I also have a ryobi battery (also an 18v) that I wanted to charge off the Ridgid charger. I have my ways of making the actual connections I was just curious as to what the t1 and t2 terminals are on the ridgid stuff. I think other batteries have these too which is why I'm posting it here. An 18v NiCAD is an 18v NiCAD and should charge so long as the terminals are in the proper location. I just don't want to blow up my Ridgid charger if the t1 and t2 terminals are used say to meter how much voltage is in the battery, etc.

I would open up the battery and have a look. I presume you have already scrutinized the orientation of the connectors on charger/battery/device to see if all four connections get made for both operations.
