Post Cap Quandry

I have posts that measure 5.5 inches x 6 inches. A regular 6 inch post cap would look strange, I think. Any suggestions for a good fitting metal post cap that wouldn't require me to go to a fabricator?

If the posts have the 6" side facing out you could, starting a couple of feet below the top, power plane the half inch from the top. By keeping the half inch cut just at the top starting at no cut down from the top, then the transition will not be noticeable.
