Is it possible to make double-pane glass?
Seems like it would be - internet search just yields a hundred million window replacement videos. Anyone know what it takes to actually make the panels? I know they are vacuum sealed and then filled with argon, but is it possible to do this without a special machine?

Practically speaking--NO
I had to call in a window /glass outfit to replace a bunch of popped windows---The work man said they farm the actual glass work out to a company that only assembles the glass--- I couldn't get the name out of him---to bad--- |

Short answer -
NO! rossfingal (Unless you want "eternal, fog" in your windows) Some people might like that! |
Do I need double paned glass for my Trombe solar heated wall?

Actually you can make them yourself. There is no vacuum involved. Once they are assembled you expel the air with bottled argon gas. Any dry inert gas will work actually.
