Portable boat storage "shelter"

Does anyone use a portable covered shelter for your boat, etc? If so, is there a particular one you recommend? I'm thinking about 10' X 20'.

One company I was looking at is Ecanopy.com

Thanks.

My brother-in-law stores his boat in my yard (don't ask!) and just wraps the thing up in a huge tarp for the off-season. Never blows away, collapses, whatever. Ron

Thanks. I do that with my current aluminum boat, but that won't work with a polyethylene canoe. It must be kept out of direct sunlight, and a tarp cannot touch the boat because it will cause mold(needs air circulation). I haven't bought a poly canoe yet, I'm just checking into things.

Has anyone built their own boat shelter? If so, what materials did you use, and how did you build it? Thanks.

I'm not sure I would go to town building a shelter for a canoe. We flip ours upside down under a tree in the shade. Works fine.

If you're really concerned though, wrap it in a canvas tarp. It sheds water and will allow the canoe to breath.

Thanks Bob. If I buy a poly canoe, it will be a large, heavy square stern. That's why it will be kept on a trailer, and I will not be lifting it to put on sawhorses or anything else.
