Pool heater is dead. Replacement recommendations?

Hey everyone,

The heater for our pool gave up the ghost. I turned it on the other day and it started pumping rust and filth colored water into the hot tub.

Can someone recommend a replacement that's better than the one that requires a big tank of propane to work?

My pool guy recommended a tankless water heater, but I'm not really familiar with that as an option for a pool.

Thanks in advance,
