I have attached a picture of a pool plumbing system, and I am in need to identify what is what. I have a good idea, but I would like to get your input as well.

Thank you for your help in advance.

From the left to right coming out of the ground...
>filter line from either bottom drain or side skimmer.
>filter line from either bottom drain or side skimmer.
>both of these lines run thru the selector valve to control where the water comes from for the filter. Water goes thru the pump then into the top port on the filter. Water then comes out the bottom port of the filter, goes thru the chlorinator and then returns out the far right pipe back to the pool. The third from the left pipe is a water feature return line that is fed from a separate pump that gets its water from the filter out line. These pumps are commonly used for small fountains, waterfalls and to operate automatic cleaning machines that run on the pool floor.
The last pipe that you see sticking out of the selector valve above the pump on the left is a line that can be used to vacuume to waste or topump the pool out

#1 and #2 are supply to the filter. One is from bottom drain and one is from a skimmer.

#3, I will have to defer to Dan when he says, "water feature return line that is fed from a separate pump that gets its water from the filter out line"

#4 is the return water to the pool

#5 is vacuum to waste or when you backwash the filter

Pool xpert? You bet. First make sure the cue is...What?....ooooh. But i see two real pool experts done dove right in and with nifty colored numbers yet. No circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back though.
Since you got it open, the box on the wall is the electrical cut out, pull the black T bar out and no elecricity to pumps. Push it back in and off she goes.
The big black thing in the back is an interdimensional alien being come to rob Earth of its precious chlorine resources. Best to jab at with the prongs on back of that T bar till it goes away
