Permanent glue to use for a hole in drywall?

I have a screw that came out of my drywall in my camper. I need this screw to permanently stay in the hole it came out of without using those picture frame plastic pieces. It's a very small screw, maybe 1/2 inch. Any idea of what type of glue I can use? Thanks!

to my knowledge, there are no specialty nuts, bolts, screws, staples, etc reserved for mobile homes/campers/etc,,, UNLESS you can get the threads of ANY screw to grab on to something substantial, no screw OR magic glue will work,,, reconsider an insert, butterfly, OR redefine ' permanent '

Permanent glue to use for a hole in drywall?

Sorry to echo the other post, but the strongest glue in the world will only be as strong as the adjacent drywall.

Permanent glue to use for a hole in drywall?

Ok, I'm curious now
Is this a "finger in the dyke" scenario? May I ask what the purpose of a 1/2" screw in drywall would be that it has to be permanent?

Not being smart here...sincerely curious

Permanent glue to use for a hole in drywall?

I have a camper with drywalls. There are curtains that snap to a rivet that has a screw behind the rivet on the walls. I unsnaped the curtain and the entire rivet w/screw came out of the wall. I'm trying to sell the camper and I need that rivet w/screw to go back into the wall permanently. Someone told lme Liquid Nails will work or get a rivet gun and attach a rivet w/screw that has 3 legs that will adhere to the inside of the hole. Hope this info helps. Thanks for those that are helping me.

Permanent glue to use for a hole in drywall?

AHH!!! I see!

Well, glue is not going to help you out here but there are a couple of options...
One is to cut a section of drywall out, screw some wood behind and replace the drywall. You may need a longer screw.

The other is to use a toggle bolt. You can buy these in all sorts of sizes, just find one that fits into the snap.

Here are some pics...the first being the toggle bolt. I am using a washer to simulate the snap you are using.

Picture 2: drill a hole in the drywall large enough to push the folded toggle through

Picture 3: Push the toggle all the way through and tighten the screw. You will need to pull back on it while you tighten it.

Hope this helps

I think an "expanding hollow wall anchor" is what you are looking for.

Are you sure you have drywall (gypsum wallboard)? I've had campers, motorhomes, and travel trailers for 25 years and have NEVER seen one with actual drywall.

Only ones I have seen had a vinyl covered board...something like the stuff HD sells for shower installation. Similar to drywall but much lighter.

That's why I recommended the hollow wall anchor...they are ideal for the type of wall board used in campers and motor homes. It's usually just 1/4" or 1/8" paneling or luan with vinyl covering.

Yep, I agree..I just didn't have one around to take a picture Only thing is he has to apply just the right amount of pressure when screwing it in. That 'wallboard' is easy to puncture.
