outdoor grout

I have irregular slabs of bluestone with gaps between the slabs of about one-inch: it's a large part of our Brooklyn backyard. It's rustic. Nevertheless, the gaps make it difficult to easily move chairs as some have become a bit deep. I've thought about filling the gaps with a small gravel, then a dry mix of sand and cement, then a spray of water. Instead, would you recommend a pre-mix grout or some other cement mix? I don't expect this to look like a finished bathroom floor: rustic, irregular slabs.

Thanks

I've used sand, super masonry cement and acrylic mortar admixture for large outdoor grout. Don't remember the mix ratio, its been a few years.

Thanks. I imagine there would be some info as to mix ratio on the admixture material. I'll look for it at Loew's. I guess you used this where there was plenty of weather and foot traffic?

Just curious what that means?

neri: Where you are located & the subsequent climate has a lot to do with what will work for you.

super masonary is a brand name of a stucco type cement in my area, florida and brocco are product names local around here. i believe that it is a mix of portland cement and lime to make it sticky.
