Nicotine in bathroom.

Have you tried Magic Erasers?
http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Clean-Erase.../dp/B001339ZMW

I've found them useful for difficult stains on our boat's fiberglass gelcoat. And also on a white porcelain sink.

Just one won't likely be enough. Get the 8 pack (or more). But perhaps pick up one locally and give it a try. Most supermarkets would have them.

As for locations, it just helps people offer region-specific advice. Doesn't have to be anything precise, just enough to let folks know temperature issues and countries. As in, Florida vs Maine, or US vs UK, there would be a lot of different materials or techniques to consider for some stuff.

It certainly is a non issue in this instance, but, I hope the op explains the nicotine in the tub situation

Try some CLR ..... maybe you are dealing with rust .....

If the discoloring is due to smoking the only way to get rid of it or hide it is to paint it .....
