Depends on the area.

Do you get frost in your area?

Thank's for the reply, the area will be Charlotte,NC, the soil type is clay. Floating not sure, sounding complicated. What I would like is a 28/32 foot two car with space for storage.I was quoted from $4500 to $6000 to have a slab laid. the gound is reasonably level open and accesible for that much I think with resurch and advice I can do it $2500 as I do not have 5000 for a slab plus for the actual garage material.

If you have never poured concrete before, you better just pay the money Thats a big slab and finishing it is not something for a first timer The concrete alone is going to cost you around $1800
