Question

Need recommendation for a patch

I am trying to repair an old wood dresser and I am new at this. I am replacing the pulls/handles which are different dimensions than the new ones I am going to use. What is the best way to patch up the holes from the old handles? I will be painting the dresser when finished so there is not a need to match the wood.

Thanks for any help.

Minwax makes a bondo like wood filler that will work. If that's not available, any wood filler.
