Sometimes this forum just makes me laugh.
But seriously, call Luke Skywalker and ask to use the light saber.

This aint funny lol, We had a guy come in to my Twsp. to get a permit to dig something similiar to this. It sounded a bit strange so the secretary did some reasearch on the guy, Turns out the guy is listed as a sex offender. So they called the State police and reported what he was doing. We never heard from him again. (Silence of the Lambs)

You're probably gonna die doing it. That's a really dangerous thing to do. A 35" hole is going to collapse. If you're lucky it will collapse when it's 5' deep, so you can still breathe. But more likely, it's going to collapse when its 10' deep, and then you're a gonner.

I would not recommend even attempting to do this by "hand".

It is far too dangerous. Such holes are only done mechanically, as many people have died from such foolish attempts.

Question: Are you by any chance...incarcerated?

See if they still have metal sporks laying around somewhere.

30' deep? Sheee-it, I'm going 30' long by 8' wide by 2' deep and it's taking me forever. By the time you get that hole dug you will look like Arnold Schwarzeneggar in his prime.

I have actually seen this done in the Sahara Desert where they at one time dug wells 100 ft deep or more. The key is concrete cylinders are being stacked on top of you and collapse into the hole as you excavate. A rope and bucket removes the dirt and acts as a plumb bob. It is still dangerous being the guy in the hole with the shovel.

No reply back from OP, hope he's ok. Wish he would have told us where he's at 1st so we could have sent help if he got into trouble.
