Need help with garage storage
I am looking for a creative and hopefully inexpensive way to store a crib in my garage. I am running out of floor space and would like to store the crib on the wall or ceiling. The crib measures 4'x3'x8". Most of the storage systems sold are way out of my budget. Thanks..this is a great site.

A vesectomy is better.......
, just a bit of humor.4 eye bolts, 2 on the bottom, 2 on the top screwed into studs and some 1/4" rope will do the job easily.

Good idea...can you recommend a knot...I'd be afraid the rope would come loose and the crib would fall on someone.

Bowline on the bottom rings, loop through the top rings and then back though the bottom rings with a half hitch, will not fall.....

If the sides slide down, or a older one, you may as well toss it. Crib rules change every year, and by the time you want to use it next, or someone wants it, the CPSC will change the rules on safe crib use. If still wanting to store, dismantle it, and just wrap in plastic, and store in your basement, or out of the way until Garage sale time in the Spring.

Need help with garage storage
Is it a detached garage with open rafters or an attached garage w/ a drywall ceiling?
I have a detached garage w/ open rafters and I've got a crazy amount of stuff nowhere near the floor. It's a little easier since You can just put boards down up there and slide stuff onto them. |
