(Nearly) Free floor for the attic

After stomping a hole through my bedroom ceiling while putting away christmas stuff in the attic, I decided it was time for an attic floor.

Rather spend $$ on a whole bunch of plywood I'll never see, I went down to the local lumber yard (don't bother going to Home Depot or Lowes) and paid 5 bucks for anything I could fit into my pickup. It's a bit mismatched, but it's also a (nearly) free attic floor.

Note: this would also be great way to get inexpensive lumber for a kid's playhouse in the backyard... 'cause those things don't get used for longer than 2 years anyway.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to match a piece of flat drywall to the patterned/textured ceiling.

A friend of mine went menards where they will have scratch and dent exteior doors for 1 $. He really had to watch for them but got enough to cover alot of attic floor in his garage.

For the Patterned/Textured cieling, you will have to use plaster. My sister has Orange Peel texturing all through out her house, and she hates it.
