nail gun repair

I have a Bostich nail gun that leaks air around the trigger. The gun hasn't been used much, but it is eight years old. How hard is it to change the gaskets on the gun? Where would I purchase them. Thanks for any help in this matter.

nail gun repair

There are many online stores who sell parts for Bostitch guns. The trigger assembly, if I recall correctly, is easily removable be removing a rolled steel pin retainer. Once removed the seal is easily replaceable.

Hi Sammy - You might try here:

They probably aren't the cheapest around but they usually have the part if it's at all available. You didn't leave a model number or part number so I couldn't get much further.
If it hasn't been used much the seal may have just dried out some. Oil it up good and work it a few times. I sometimes have a problem with my Hitachi missfiring after it hasn't been used for a couple of months.
