My time here has reached its end

my time here has come to an end. We discovered a huge problem inside the trailer that would require removal of all of the paneling, and then it was dried out and the one piece we tried to remove kept shredding. this was more expense and work than i had planned on and more than i wanted any part of. so, tonight i paid a visit to a dealership and traded it in on a new one. goodbye trash, hello new beauty!

so i now must say goodbye to the DIY world. Most of you have been a great help to me. Good luck on all of your projects.

for those of you who will ask, yes i am on a budget but when i return all of the building supplies ive bought for this money pit, it will return my down payment plus some. plus, i get a brand new house for about the same price im paying now to fix this one, so i am happy, and i dont have to worry about being kicked out on the street at the first of the new year.

But with all the things you've learned, you can now answer questions. How many people know that shelf liners can be used as windows?

I am glad to see you out of that money gobbling time consuming monster. Now you'll have time to waste time. You might even wanta put a begonia in a pot, plant a tree or.... There's a landscaping forum here, I wonder how shelf liners would work as lawn edging?

And what about that chalk board/ dry erase board in kitchen? That would still be nice in new place.
I think you will come across a few more things you'll wanta ask or just talkabout, you just won't be as desperate.

Congratulations! There comes a point where you just cannot sink money into things anymore.

But as mentioned, you will encounter "situations" like how to mount longhorns over the front door. We are here when you need us!

As the old saying goes "sometime you just need to remove the radiator cap and drive a new car under it"

Good Luck.

I wont be putting a chalkboard or whiteboard in this kitchen. Number one there really isnt a place for it, and number two i am not marring up a brand new wall with something like that. We will use paper instead. I only agreed to the chalkboard theory in the first place because i knew that anything we did was like putting lipstick on a pig. But now we have this nice, new trailer and nothing permanent is going on any wall. We arent desperate anymore, and a definite weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, and i dont intend to do anything at all to this house for several years. Landscaping might come after kids, but right now the house is hidden, we wont have any visitors except parents, so im not too chuffed about any yardwork.

Put the board inside a cabinet door. That is after you've relaxed a while and feel like using your new tools for something that does not have to be done.

What's with the life preserver? You sure you didn't buy a house boat by mistake? When you walk out the door can you keep walking or do you get all wet?
