my house is making me sick every which a way

Seriously, talk to a lawyer. I could elaborate on that statement but there really is no point. TALK TO A LAWYER! I'm thinking in terms of default on loan, declare bankrupcy. Cut your losses and RUN! And then rent until you are able to learn more about home ownership to avoid such pitfalls in the future.

There is a huge market with a vested interest in convincing people that every American must own a home. This is not necessarily true in all cases. Sometimes it is just better to rent. I am seriously considering renting myself in my old age. Along withe everything else, home ownership is a lot of work and a lot of money.

sounds like quite a mess...

however I must say, no one forces you to buy a house. It is a big decision and one you should really investigate before making any big decisions. I don't understand how your boss pressures you into buying a house, it's your money, you should make your own decisions for yourself.

Honestly it seems to me like you did not do your homework quite as much as you could have on this place. I really do hope it works out for you, you may want to just take a loss and get it off your hands, either that or put the money into it. This is what home ownership is all about, you chose to buy the place, unfortunately the reality is it is your responsibility to deal with it.

If you did not have any subject to inspection clauses, then I don't know. Maybe the best bet would be to uncover and make note of all unproper work/materials in the place, and sue the seller. Not a cheap endeavor whatever path you choose.

Hope it works out, looks like a lesson learned to me.

I'm still at a lose about this little tid-bit:
<hello. i recently was pushed into buying a house from my now ex-employer after they shoved my 2 boys and i into a horse barn. they told me i had to get out of the barn and offered me a house that they had just renovate>

What do you mean by "forced into a horse barn"?
If you don't want to get a lawyer and continue making payments, put those payments into an escrow account and not that ex-employer's pocket.

Another thing, if you were "pushed" into buying that as is home, you may have legal recourse. Depending what "pushed" was, of course.
