Mushrooms in the bath


"But this section houses the water heater, furnace, washer and dryer and main plumbing pipes". Any possibility you could be getting too much moisture from this area? Maybe look at placing an exhaust fan in this area to relieve moisture created by these units. I do agree with the "wet wood" scenario. This definitely needs to be repaired.
