I don't know the Morso stove, but I do heat only with wood. I have 2 other modern epa cert stoves. If you have burned with older stoves, you will be pleased with the wood savings of the air-tight stoves. However, they do require a slightly different approach.
1. wood must be well seasoned
2. burn in full cycles - load it up and let it burn down to coals before reloading
3. as your fire gets going, cut the air back in increments. This is important to maximize heat output. As you cut the air back, you stack temp will drop, but your stove top temp will climb and the efficient secondary combustion will kick in. Enjoy the light show.
