moisture and mildew
we own an older home with a partial basement ..we have a wood stove downstairs ..an the crawlspace is all dirt which the livingroom and bedrooms are above...there is always a musty smell in the rooms and in the winter the windows are dripping wet...we figure the moisture an smell is from the dirt ...how do we solve the problem...should we put vapor barrierre or dig oout the dirt...thankyou..

moisture and mildew
Cover with 6 mil plastic. Tape seams. Add gravel over the plastic to keep it in place and protected.
