Metal Harness Around Post
Very different than lab alcohol burner. Bunsen burner burns pressurized gas, invented by Bunsen to replace previous less efficient, sometimes dangerous, burners including alkies. Lab alky burner's hardly ever used due to inherent danger of breakage, they have smaller reservoir and are used in lab conditions, sitting on table top in safe area by people who have been made aware of conditions. This is large breakable reservoir up in air being "used" by people who may have been burning some alcohol themselves. Away back when I was chemistry minor, and all of us being constantly drilled on safety, we had an event in lab involving broad based bunsen, spilled alcohol, and way pretty girl. Burner tipped, giant ball of flaming alcohol roared down lenghth of table (under other circumstance I would pay money to see that ) right into her face. Lucky she just temporarily lost most of hair and outer layer of epidermis. Had a sunburn for a semester, and when that gone she said, "It did clear up my acne."
All that bein said, and taking into consideration sd's concerns and dealing with the safety issues they are way cool. I was wondering what I was gonna do with blue bottles I saved, didn't much like idea of traditional blue bottle tree.
That was a great link, joe, some real nice holders there. This was my favorite, some of these standing around holding torches would look great
