Matching ceiling texture. please help!

Can anyone tell me how to match this ceiling texture? It doesn't have to be perfect. I would just like it to look pretty similar. Obviously I'm not a professional. I fixed a collapsed section of a plaster and lathe ceiling in a 100 year old house with a section of drywall and then taped and mudded the edges. Now I need to match texture. Thanks for your help!

Looks a bit like broken leather which is done by putting a plastic bag over the stippler and running it over the Artex. Artex is like handwriting though, and everyone seems to have a slightly different pattern.

I think that is just a homeowner stomp with no knockdown. You use a roller to apply the thinned mud, then use a stomp brush to create the pattern. Looks like they mixed it a little thin, you can experiment with the thickness a little. Be sure to roll into the existing a little and this will help blend it in.

I'm no expert, but I had to do a similar repair on the bathroom wall of our previous house. I got some cardboard from the grocery store and experimented a bit until I found something I could live with.
