magic chef microwave
I recently purchased and installed new kitchen cabinetry myself, the job went well except for when I removed the old hood style fan assy. I noticed it was not even vented to the outside at all. My new kitchen doesnt use the hood fan but instead uses the vent fan built into my magic chef microwave that is installed above the oven. How do I vent this microwave to the outside? Can I go straight out the back of the cabinet to the outside wall with a dryer vent style outlet?

Above the range microwaves usually offer several venting options. Out the cabinet above to waiting ducts, out the back, in your case through an outside wall, or no vent, using charcoal filters for air recirculation. I prefer outside venting, with ducts as short as possible, but definitely to the outside.
