Low voltage thermostat wiring

I have a line voltage thermostat controlling several baseboard heaters(220 volt). I would like to install a low voltage digital thermostat in its place. What do I need to do?

you would need to rewire the thermostat box bringing the wires into a new accessible junction box. Then use a relay to provide the 220V with a 12V contactor. but wire would you ever want to do this. You can get line voltage programmable thermostats with digital reading that can be controlled via the internet cheaper than this step at htttp://www.smarthome.com

Ok, thanks Bob, I will look into that.
