Local apartment complex hit with multiple violations

Everything from local plumbing codes, non-registered non-filed permitted work, to severe NEC violations. It has only taken over seven years and a new mayor to get moving on this.

What do you have to do with this apartment company? You must rent from them?

Nothing. Just bad that the city finally got off of its butt to do something about it. More for highlighting what codes our city is looking at on this complex, compared to other areas that others may live in. Our previous elected mayor sat on this, and did nothing, other than allow it to decay. Sad thing is, it sits right on the edge of another village within our city, and their mayor & board actually went about placing their officers near it at night, to start catching the drug dealers, along with harassing those causing problems in that area.

Bud, also the majority of the violations are electric, even though they are supposed to be in mid "rehab". The part that I do like that they pointed out, is what our area uses as a measurement for heating (70 degrees inside at 0 outside, measured at 3 feet from the floor). The only thing that they do not stress in our area is AFCI breakers.

Springfield, Il Bud. Our last one committed suicide in December last year. He was embroiled into a lot of crooked stuff, before he pulled the trigger.

My sister used to live down in Granite City for a bit, until she relocated for her job with In-Bev's IT dept. I have always lived in SPI.

Whoever wrote up that document has what I call "Hamlet" disease. They question whether "to be" is necessary by omitting it from every sentence where the infinitive is required.

That would be a lawyer. Since the units are each looked at as individual with each infraction, they went to town on it. There are still a lot of units through out this town, along with homes that should also be nailed to the wall.

gregzoll,

Not that it matters but how is it you have come by documents related to a project in Granite City when you live in Springfield?

Just curious.

Whoops...something just occured to me, with Springfield being the state capitol.
