load bearing wall

I have a second floor loft which is 14' 6" ft long that over looks my living room, currently the 14; 6" ft loft is supported at each end with with three 2x6. the only other support for the 14' 6"ft span is a three foot 2x4 wall located 3 feet from one end of the three 2x6 support.

Any advice on what siazr and type of support i will need to use to remove the three ft 2x4 wall and span the entire 14 ft 6 inch loft.

14'6" isn't an impossible span in most circumstances. At 16" centers, 2x10 joists will span over 15'.

But, in order to say with any certainty, it would be greatly beneficial if you'd post some pictures of the area in question.
