lighweight decking

I go camping, and one of the places where I frequently camp has a "wash" that goes right under my door (the door to my camper). I'm thinking it would be nice to build a platform, or deck, to go there.

I'm thinking of using T111 siding, because of the rough texture and water proof glue. I'm thinking of 1x4 joists on 16 inch centers, cross drilled with 1.25" holes on three inch centers, glued and screwed.

I'd lay it on the ground, and prop up the low side with scraps of wood to level it.

What do you think?

I think I'd use pressure treated lumber on any exterior "deck".....
