Leaky bricks?!?!?!

Hi there,

We have just put a window in a previously bricked up wall, which is now leaking (the wall abve the window). We have located the leak to be the top 2 rows of brick we put back on top of the lintel…but cant understand why they are bring in water???

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Apparently the window was not properly installed with flashing above. Do you have flashing to direct any water away from the house wrap/moisture barrier to the exterior of the wall where it is supposed to go?

This is allowing water to get behind the brick. When it hits the lintel or window.
