i'm putting in a jet tub and the instructions say to put the feet of the tub in some thinset to reduce noise. can i just use some pl to glue it down? and is there any other ways to reduse the noise....like some insluation close to the motor?

Glue will not do. We use mortar or thinset or plaster. Why... easy to just throw down in a puddle and wiggle tub into place. All voids are filled and it is fully supported. Not a good idea to block air flow around the motor. It needs this space to remain cool.
