Intrepid II Woodstove Problem-help

I picked up parts today for my 23 year old Intrepid II. Anyone familiar with this woodstove? My problem is that the new 'lower fireback' seems to be about 1/8 inch too tall and therefore will not sit back far enough to fit snugly into it's spot. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

I moved your question over here to the general forum from the introductions forum in hopes that someone might be able to help you out.
