should I paint trim and doors dark brown from white?House is painted split
pea by BM,fresh apple green like color,and hallways a medium brown,also a BM color from the aura colors.Afraid it will close the house in and will look smaller,but sick of white.Furniture is brown leather and oak hardwood
floors.Living room and hallways run together. I can only describe the layout of the floorplan as the letter H,living room and kitchen are the right
side of the H and the hallway is the cross-section of the H.Bedrooms are
on the left side of the H. Hope this description helps with your answers!!

Paint one door and trim and see if you like it.

Personally, I like white trim and the contrast it provides to nearly all possible wall colors. I also like the white contrast with the wood floors. Brown trim tends to look good next to a more limited range (the warm tones) of wall colors, at least to me. If you are tired of the look of your house, find a different color you like, and paint the walls...leave the trim alone.

But I am with Ron 6519...decide what you like and concern yourself less with what others like....try a sample and see if you like it....unless you are trying to sell your house.
