Installing a Granite counter top
I'm not sure if this should go into the plumbing posts or into the carpentry posts so please move it accordingly if needed. I'm about to install a very heavy granite counter top (with an under mount sink already attached) in a bathroom remodel. The new vanity is from a local company but is similar to one from the local big box stores we all have around (thin plywood sides with no great strength). I was trying to figure out what the very best sealant/adhesive is to secure the granite to the vanity. I want to get some good stuff and was wondering what people used and had good luck with. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Clear silicone, or silicone adhesive.

If your vanity is not very strong in construction you may want to think about beefing it up to carry teh load of the granite. Also, you may need to think about supporting the undermount sink from underneath if the sink itself is very heavy. You have to think that at some point it may be full of water which will also add "dead" weight to the sink itself.....
